Touch Screen Phones

“Simply stunning” HTC advertises it. HTC Desire indeed is stunning. It has 3.7 inch AMOLED multitouch touch screen and 1GHz Snapdragon processor and HTC Sense UI, Android.

That indeed makes HTC Desire so stunning.

Multitasking with 1.0GHz processor is not a problem. Touch screen phones usually have pretty slow internet browser but fast processor helps with that too. You can easily watch videos, Youtube etc. HTC has noticed that people like to use Facebook, Myspace and other social networks alot nowadays. That’s why they improved their user interface with Friend Stream -a circle with 7 buttons to help you stay connected. With Friend Stream you can even write your feelings both Twitter and Facebook at the same time.

Looking the HTC Desire touch screen phone makes me think that when will they invent something new? I have seen this one before. Actually, I haven’t but they all look so same. HTC Desire looks good though, but there isn’t anything “new” or marvelous. It has 5 buttons under the big touch screen, just like many other touch screen phones does.

Touch screen of the HTC Desire is 3.7″, that’s 0.6″ inch smaller than HTC HD2. Personally, I think HD2 has a bit too big screen, you’ll probably have to use it with both hands. That’s something I personally do not like. HTC Desire’s touch screen is a little bit smaller but still big enough. 3.7-3.9″ would be the perfect screen size to me. With touch screen that big you can manage without QWERTY-keyboard. Okay, it’s not the same but at least you can type easily and hit where you aimed.

Resolution of the touch screen is 480 x 800. That is good and enough for screen that size. AMOLED screen has been proven to offer nice contrast even in bright lightning, like sunlight. That’s very important if you live in a country with lots of sunny days and if you stay outside a lot.

HTC Desire is indeed “simply stunning” as they advertise it. This might actually be my next phone, unless they make the HTC Desire with QWERTY-keyboard.
